How to Roll Dice

    Think of the dice rolls this way;

PvT = is for physical actions not already on the hud,
PvA = is for magic/supernatural abilities not already on the hud,
PvE = Environmental and neutral physical actions like restraining when there is no intent to harm or assist.
Numbered Dice = Modifiers. To roll for duration, etc.

You must always abide by the challenge rule: Before you attack make sure you meet the challenge rule: 2short posts or 1pararp post. Give the person time to respond (approx 10 mins). You must be acknowledged by the person or people in the group before you proceed with the attack.

    When to call an SP:
Ask your self 5 simple questions does your RP....
    1. affect Health?
    2. affect Strength?
    3. affect Life?
    4. affect Mental state?
    5. affects any visible object or build?

If you answer YES to any of the above, then call for a Storyteller in "Isle of Legacies OOC" IM group.

The meter rocks your RP, but there are times when you need some narrative to enhance the RP. Private consensual RP, that have been discussed beforehand, doesn't require ST.

If you are successful in your roll and you don't get the storytell you expect, it could be because you haven't used a high enough ability level.

If you want to break a ward, you need to succeed in a dice roll equal or higher than the one used to create it.

To get a feel for how to choose a difficulty, look over each of the following lists and keep in mind which attributes are appropriate. When you actually perform an Ability, choose the highest level.

For example, you wish to cast a spell to wound someone across a rooftop from you:
    - Under Zone of Effect we see a Human-sized object at Skilled.
    - Under Attacks we see A wound under Skilled.
    - Under Range we see Line of sight under Expert.

So a good choice to make would be an Expert ability. Keep in mind that this isn't written in stone, and if you choose a leveled ability below what would be reasonable that you may end up failing your intended action even if you succeed on the roll.
Look at the following three areas and consider the effects you want for your RP to have. Then, taking these guidelines in account, you can estimate what you think the difficulty would be.

    THE LISTS:

General IC Experience Needed for an Ability:
    • Novice: Anyone can do it.
    • Skilled: Something that requires practice.
    • Expert: Something whose livelihood gives such experience.
    • Legendary: Something who is recognized and distinguished in such a field.

    Attacks: Target them.
    • Novice = A strike.
    • Skilled = A wound.
    • Expert = A knockdown.
    • Legendary = A knockout.

    Zone of Effect:
    • Novice = Small object/area.
    • Skilled = Human-sized object/area.
    • Expert = Room-sized area.
    • Legendary = Building-sized area.

    Range:
    • Novice = Touch.
    • Skilled = Arm's length.
    • Expert = Line of sight.
    • Legendary = Anywhere in same sim.

    Force:
    • Novice = A touch.
    • Skilled = A punch. A standard dead-lift.
    • Expert = Hit by a car. ~1 ton of force.
    • Legendary = Hit by a bus. ~11-15 tons+.
